Hibipix is a social network focused on sharing images in a healthy, respectful, and ethical environment. We created this space to bring people together — friends, families, artists, educators, hobbyists, and anyone who wants to share moments — away from pressure, overstimulation, and the invasive practices common on major platforms.

These Community Guidelines exist to preserve that spirit. By participating in Hibipix, you agree to follow these guidelines and help maintain a welcoming environment for everyone.

✅ 1. Expected Behaviors

• Treat everyone with respect, even in the face of differences.
• Participate with a community spirit, helping to create a calm and pleasant space to share images with friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers.
• Prioritize authenticity and positive interactions.
• Share content with responsibility, awareness, and empathy.
• Respect the boundaries and privacy of others.

📸 2. What You Can Post

• Photos and videos taken by you.
• Everyday moments and experiences with your private circles.
• Personal albums, themed collections, or visual diaries.
• Artistic, educational, craft, or professional work.
• Topical content: travel, sports, hobbies, music, art, profession, education, etc.

Sensitive content must be properly flagged (NSFW or with a content warning).

🚫 3. What’s Not Allowed

Offensive or Discriminatory Content

• Hate speech, bullying, or harassment.
• Discrimination based on race, color, ethnicity, nationality, religion, appearance, socioeconomic status, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, health, age, ideology, or language, among others.
• Glorification of violence, crime, torture, exploitation, or any form of abuse.
• Pornographic, sexually explicit, or non-consensual/non-artistic nudity.

Copyright Infringement

Do not post copyrighted materials that aren’t yours, unless:

• They are royalty-free or open source;
• They are in the public domain;
• They are part of socially accepted uses, such as sharing popular memes, news articles, etc.

Political and Polarizing Content

Political posts that encourage polarization, conflict, partisanship, or aggressive activism are discouraged. There are other platforms better suited for that kind of expression. Hibipix aims to be a peaceful refuge, not a battlefield.

AI-Generated Content

Images or videos generated by generative AI are discouraged because:

• They lose the authenticity of human experience;
• They may cause misinformation or confusion;
• They make interactions feel less personal and genuine.

Please prioritize human-made art and credit creators when possible to support creativity within the community.

Other Prohibited Content

• Commercial promotion of products, brands, companies, or third-party services.
• Advertising for betting platforms or affiliate links.
• Scams, spam, chain messages, and phishing attempts.
• Posting personal data or images of others without consent.

🔒 4. Privacy and Protection

• Respect the image rights and dignity of all people, especially children and vulnerable groups.
• Avoid exposing faces, third-party children, or private environments without permission.

🛡️ 5. Moderation

Moderation works to ensure the safety and well-being of the community. In cases of guideline violations, moderators may:

• Remove posts that break the rules.
• Suspend or permanently remove accounts.
• Unlist posts from public timelines and the fediverse, making them visible only to direct followers.
• Flag posts or accounts as NSFW (sensitive content).
• Enforce content warnings (CW).
• Disable autolinks (hashtags, mentions, links).
• Temporarily disable interactions (without deleting data).
• Block federated instances (connected platforms) that frequently violate rules or tolerate abuse.

Each case will be reviewed individually, aiming to preserve freedom while maintaining safety.

🚨 6. Inappropriate or Unwanted Content

If you come across something you’d rather not see, you have a few options:

• Mute the account to stop receiving posts from it.
• Block the profile to prevent any interaction.
• Report the post or user to the moderation team — we will review it carefully.

🌿 7. A Space for Well-being

We do not use addictive algorithms or manipulative strategies to hold your attention. Hibipix is a place for community and kindness.

Hibipix encourages:

• 💜 Mental well-being: Our goal is to offer a calm, ethical, and respectful environment. We don’t want to be yet another source of suffering, comparison, anxiety, or disrespect. The focus is on genuine sharing — not social performance.
• 📵 Conscious disconnection: Hibipix isn’t made to keep you hooked. We don’t use addictive algorithms or attention-grabbing tactics. You’re free to leave, return, explore, or rest — without pushy notifications or anxiety triggers.
• 🧭 Curated freedom: You decide what you want to see and who you want to interact with. Posts from your friends and those you follow won’t be hidden or replaced by ads or random (often toxic) content from people you don’t know.
• 🧘‍♀️ No algorithmic pressure: At Hibipix, your social experience is lighter and more human — free of engagement pressure. There are no obsessive metrics or algorithms punishing you for being offline. Use the platform at your own pace without feeling the need to “perform” to stay visible.
• 🕰️ Chronological feed and real control: Posts appear in chronological order. This means you see what people post in the order they post it — no invisible filters or secret scoring systems. Unlike other platforms where algorithms decide what you see based on engagement, retention, and behavior prediction, here you stay in control. Your followers will see what you share without algorithmic interference.

🛠️ 8. Beta Version

The platform is in beta, meaning it's in continuous development. We are testing features, adjusting tools, and welcoming feedback. Guidelines may evolve as we learn from the community.

Relevant updates to these guidelines will be communicated in the Newsroom and, when needed, directly to users.
